John A. Sauer, 62, born September 18, 1959 son of the late Adolph and Jean Sauer. John passed away on March 8, 2022 after a brief illness. Before making Port Orange, FL his home, John lived in Orange, CT for 53 years, graduating from Amity Senior High School. John was America's Neighbor. He had a ginormous heart and helped countless people throughout his life and enjoyed every minute of it. He held many roles throughout his career, but the role he was most proud of was being the BEST Son, Brother and Uncle to his family which he cherished most. John moved to Port Orange in 2012 and recently retired. He had many hobbies and passions. His love for cooking was enjoyed by so many and his passion for NASCAR and the Miami Dolphins was unparalleled. He was a skilled craftsman and a car model enthusiast. John touched the lives of so many and will be so dearly missed especially by his siblings, Judy (Sauer) Skinner and her husband, Edward, Alan Sauer, Eugene Sauer and his wife Regina, Kathleen (Sauer) and her husband Ethan. He was predeceased by his sister Sharon (Sauer), Glenn Roth and his beloved dog Sport. John was a loving Uncle to four nephews and 5 nieces. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
