John A. Sanchez, 66, of Deltona, Florida passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2017. John was born on August 18, 1950 to Justina and Victor Sanchez in New York City and grew up in the Bronx. He was a member of St. Clare's Catholic Church and a retired letter carrier for the United States Postal Service. John attended Cardinal Hayes Catholic High School in the Bronx. He was a car and motorcycle enthusiast and an avid lover of music. John especially loved music from the 50's and 60's, warm reminders of his childhood. Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle, John is survived by his wife, Arita Sanchez; his son, John A. Sanchez, Jr.; daughter, Veronica Luna; son Andrew Sanchez; grandsons, Logan and Mason Luna; and his beloved pet Misty. Also surviving are his sisters: America Franqui and Maria Davila. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in John Sanchez's name to the American Diabetes Association. Private viewing services will be held for close family and friends on Saturday, March 4, 2017.
