John L. Rice III 50 of 248 Riverbend Road Ormond Beach died Wednesday October 1st. Mr. Rice moved to this area in 1989 from Fort Lauderdale FL. He was a line specialist for Florida Power and Light for 23 years and a coach for the Ormond Beach and Daytona Beach Youth Baseball Association.

Survivors include his wife Marilyn Rice; two sons John IV & Travis all of Ormond Beach; his mother Louise Rice Collins of Davie Florida; his brother Ronald Risheberger of California and sister Sandra Gilmore of Davie Florida; stepsister Patricia Gay of St. Augustine Florida. Other survivors include his nephew Patrick Gilmore of Palm Bay and niece Jacquelyn Martinie of Davie Florida.

Memorial donations may be made to State of Florida Division of Blind Services 1185 Dunn Avenue Daytona Beach FL 32114.

His family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Ormond Funeral Home on Saturday October 4th to be followed by a Funeral Service at 6 p.m.
