A Memorial Service for John Politis 75 of Ormond Beach FL will be held at 11:00am Tuesday February 17 2009 at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church 134 N. Halifax Ave. Daytona Beach. The family will be receiving friends on Monday February 16 2009 from 5:00 to 7:00pm with a prayer service at 6:30pm at Lohman Funeral Home 733 W. Granada Blvd. Ormond Beach FL. Born in Rhodes Greece John ran several successful businesses in New York prior to coming to Florida in 1971. John's latest business venture includes the family run business Gator Beach and Sport Daytona Beach FL. Though John's business accomplishments are notable his devotion to his family friends and church will be remembered. John is survived by his loving wife of almost 50 years Theodora; his two sons and family: Paul & Cindy and Michael & Rania: his granddaughters: Audrey Melina & Marissa; his siblings and family: Jack & Mary Nick & Theodora (here from Australia) Marcia & Jim and Angela & John. Much gratitude and love to all who supported John and his family through John's illness including Florida Hospital Hospice.
