Celebrating the Life of John A. Patterson III 

John A. Patterson III, 76, passed away on July 23, 2026, leaving behind a life well-lived and a family who loved him deeply. Born on April 13, 1950, John was a man of steadfast loyalty, hard work, and a classic, quiet sense of pride.

 A proud veteran, John served his country in Naval Intelligence before spending his entire corporate career at AT&T. When retirement rolled around, he didn't exactly sit still. He kept himself busy rehabilitating houses, getting out on the open road on his Harley-Davidson, and catching up with the morning "breakfast club" crew to swap stories and start the day right.

 Family was everything to John. He was married for 54 wonderful years to the love of his life, Kathy, and was a truly devoted father to his three sons, John, Steve, and Dan. He was always happy to see his family grow, welcoming Crystal, Sacha, and Brianne with open arms. To his grandchildren, he was a wonderful storyteller, leaving them with unforgettable tales and memories they will cherish forever.

 John also had a legendary passion for his German Shepherds—Shultz, Belle, Greta, and his latest partner-in-crime, Kel. He poured endless hours into training Kel, beaming with pride as he showed off tricks that ranged from running pool laps and spinning on command to the occasional expert-level food heist straight off the kitchen counter. 

John’s warmth, work ethic, and presence will be missed by everyone lucky enough to know him. 

He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Kathy; his sons and their partners, John (Crystal), Steve (Sacha), and Dan (Brianne); his cherished grandchildren; and his loyal sidekick, Kel.
