John Wayne Mixon 68 of Port Orange passed away at his home on June 2 2008. He was born on August 23 1939 to the late John H. and Lois Mixon in Miami Florida. After high school John served in the U.S. Military until being honorably discharged. He took a job with Southern Bell working his way up to manager until retiring from what is now known as BellSouth. John enjoyed many things in life; however his favorite pastimes were fishing bowling and archery.
John leaves his loving wife of 46 years Alice; son John and his wife Julie and two dear grandchildren Kayla and Jeffrey. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date pending arrangements.
