A Memorial Services for Robert John Mihm Bob 77 of Beaver Lake Circle Ormond Beach died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on October 19 2005 will be held on Saturday October 22 at 1:00 pm at the Ormond Beach 1st Christian Church with Pastor Farzard Nourian officiating. His family will receive friends on Friday October 21st from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond. Bob was born on June 1 1928 to Margaret and Henry Mihm in Pittsburgh PA. He was a graduate of Westinghouse High School and the University of Pittsburgh where he was a member of the Varsity football teams and selected to the All State Team each year. Following his graduation he served in the US Army in the Korean Conflict where he was awarded the Bronze Star for extreme bravery in the battle for Triangle Hill. Bob was married to his college sweetheart Ruth for 53 years and the loving father of Robert Lee Candace Hadler Barbara of Miami Mark Ann Marie Smith of Dallas TX. He was a proud grandfather to Matthew Alexander David Melissa Jackson and Spencer Mihm and was adored by his Boston Terrier Dallas. He is also survived by a brother William Mihm. Bob resided in Miami FL for 45 years and was involved in the food industry. While in Miami he was a member of the University Christian Church where he served an Elder and Deacon and the President Men? Garden Club of Miami for many years. He was also a Kentucky Colonel. Upon retirement he and Ruth relocated to Aberdeen in Ormond Beach in 2000. He was an active member of the First Christian Church of Ormond Beach the VFW Post 3282 the Aberdeen Veterans and for several years he was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. He enjoyed traveling sports gardening and sharing his love and humor with his loving family and many friends. He was predeceased by his parents and brothers Karl Henry and Frederick.
