E. John (Manny) Merrick, 86, of Daytona Beach, FL. passed away July 7, 2018. He was born in New York City and attended New York University after which he served as an MP in the United States Army in Japan.   He then pursued a career in sales and marketing for Panasonic Co..

Manny is survived by his wife Eleanor of 51 years, daughter Christine Gerhardt (John), and his loving granddaughter Alyssa, as well as many special nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be held Thursday, July 12 ^th at Lohman Funeral Home, Port Orange from 5pm to 7pm. with the Trisagion service at 6:30.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 13th, at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 129 N Halifax Avenue, Daytona Beach, FL at 11:30 am with Fr. Joseph Samaan presiding. Burial with Military honors will follow at Daytona Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, please consider an unexpected and unsolicited act of kindness.
