John C. Martinson "Best known as Jack" 81 of Palm Coast FL. passed away March 18 2011 at Florida Hospital Flagler; Palm Coast FL. All arrangements are under the direct and careful supervision of Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast 220 Palm Coast Pkwy SW Palm Coast FL. A graveside service will be held on Friday May 27 2011 at The Jacksonville National Cemetery Jacksonville Florida. Jack was born on February 24 1930 in Kankakee Illinois where he was raised and attended and graduated from Kankakee High School. Jack and his family moved from Kankakee Illinois to Palm Coast FL. in 2002. He was employed as a tool and die maker for many years until his retirement. Jack proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was a 32nd degree Mason and Shriner. He also was a volunteer fireman for the towns of Kankakee Illinois and Bourbonnais Illinois for over thirty years. Jack was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved being in the great outdoors. Later in life he took up golfing. Jack spent his life providing for his family and being the friend everyone wanted. He will be sorely missed by all that knew him. Jack is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Marge Martinson of Palm Coast FL. his beloved daughter Debbie Skinner and her husband Chuck of Jacksonville FL. Jack also leaves behind his three grand-puppies Abigail Zo« Grace and Phoebe.
