John Cronje Lindgren age 80 of Palm Coast died Monday July 9 2007 at the Hospice Care Center in Port Orange Fl. He was born in Orebro Sweden to Alfon & Helga Lindgren. He was a long time resident of Montclair NJ before moving to Palm Coast in 1991 upon retirement.
He was a veteran of WWII he served 5 years in the Swedish Army at 16 years of age. He served another 2 years with the U.S. Army Signal Corp on the Russian border of Germany. He was a graduate of Upsala College NJ receiving a degree in Business. He was a Self-employed tax and pension plan consultant and an agent with Union Mutual Life Insurance.
John was a life long salt water fishing enthusiast and he pursued tennis and archery as a younger man with interests turning to art and gardening later in life.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years Mary (Gibson) Lindgren of Montclair NJ. Two sons John of Palmer Alaska and Chris of Flemington NJ. Two grand children Nicky & Christopher
The family will receive friends for visitation at Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast from 11 to 12 p.m. with a service at noon on Saturday July 14 2007
