A Memorial Service for John LaTour Jr. of Daytona Beach will be held at 10:00 am on Friday April 15 2005 in the chapel of Baggett & Summers Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Moorehead officiating.

Lohn LaTour Jr. died Sunday April 3 2005 at Halifax Medical Center after a short illness. He was born in Daytona Beach in 1927 and graduated from Mailnland High School in 1945. After a brief enrollment at Cornell University he joined the Army and served during the Korean War. After his discharge in 1954 he re-entered Cornell University where he graduated with a Master?s Degree in Rngineering in 1958. Mr. LaTour was on the Dean?s List in each of his four years at Cornell University. After graduating he returned to Daytona Beach where he owned and operated Economy Electric Co. until his retirement in 1992.

Survivors include his wife of over 50 years Mary Lou Cadenhead LaTour; a sister-in-law Neva and her two children.
