John Edward Karparis 65 of Ormond Beach passed away on September 16th 2012 following his courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. His celebration of life will be held on Saturday September 22 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond 733 W. Granada Blvd. Ormond Beach. The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 p.m. John was born on March 30 1947 in Northampton Massachusetts. He was the son of the late George Karparis and Mary (Connolly) Karparis. For many years John worked for the City of Northampton before moving to Florida in 1988 and starting his own lawn maintenance company. John was known by many as a master with his hands. If it was broke he would fix it. He loved baseball; an avid supporter of the Boston Red Sox fishing cooking and baking having Sunday dinners with his family and he had a special place in his heart for animals.

John is survived by his loving and devoted wife Sue and their two children Kerry Karparis Wert Matthew Jon Karparis and his wife Marta. He will be missed by his sisters Patricia Connors Margaret Caird and her husband Jeff along with other family members Joanne and Larry Pete and Coleen Terry and Lynne many nieces and nephews and long time companions his dog Bo and cat Molly.
