Funeral Service celebrating the life of John Hawryluk who went to be with our heavenly father on May 15 2006 will be held Tuesday May 23 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond with Father Ivan Kubishyn of St. Mary?s in Apopka FL officiating. His family will receive friends on Monday May 22nd from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond.
On January 20 1927 in the small town of Worochta Ukrain Ivan John Hawryluk was born. In 1940 he and his family fled to Germany where he met his wife of 57 years Cecilia. In 1942 they came to the United Sates. John lived and worked as a contractor in Pa. until his retirement. All his life he had a passion for music playing in a family band with his tow brothers. He played the violin tsymbaly accordion and drums. He played at the American Club where he was a member. He was a long time member of the John Birch Society a patriot group. He loved his country and was a devoted husband father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife Cecilia his 4 children BohdanIda Myron Cheryl Sonia Parks Kevin Heidi Reider Gene 11 grandchildren Natalie Taras Stephan Mandalyn John William Brittany Nicholas Scarlett Cody and Austin 3 Great Grandchildren. He touched many hearts and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Remembrances may be made in John?s memory to Ukraninian American Society 1328 Hurst Street Daytona Beach FL 32117.
