John Raymond Hallden Sr. 85 of Palm Coast FL. passed away June 26 2012. A visitation will be held on July 6 2012 from 9:00 AM until the Funeral Service at 10:00 AM at the Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast 220 Palm Coast Parkway SW Palm Coast FL. Interment will immediately follow at the Jacksonville National Cemetery Jacksonville Florida. John was born and raised in Youngstown Ohio where he attended and graduated from South High School. He then joined the United States Navy proudly serving on the USS Mariveles and the USNTC. Great Lakes. ILL as Ship fitter Third Class. John earned the Victory Medal Asiatic-Pacific Area Campaign Medal Philippine Liberation Ribbon and many more. After being Honorably discharged from the Navy he met and married the love of his life Margaret. John worked for many years with his father and brother as an owner of the George Hallden & Sons Trucking Company. He enjoyed his time raising his three children. In 1979 John moved his family to the Palm Coast area. Here he became a member of the Palm Harbor Golf Club and the Pine Course at the Grand Club. John enjoyed spending time with his fellow neighbors of The Fairways and playing golf with his friends in the men's leagues. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Margaret on December 30 2010. He is survived by survived by his son John Hallden Jr. and his wife Sharyn of Powell Ohio Daughters Kim Somgynari and her husband Robert of Las Vegas Nevada Candy Usner and her husband Jeffrey of Akron Ohio.
