John Lind Greenhill age 86 of Port Orange Fl passed away April 22 2011 at Halifax Memorial in Daytona Beach. The family of Mr. Greenhill will accept friends and family Wednesday April 27 2011 at 1 p.m. followed by a ""Celebration of Life"" at 2 pm at Cardwell Funeral Home 3571 Ridgewood in Port Orange. John was born July 29 1924 in Edinburgh Scotland to David and Jenny Greenhill. He retired from a career as a Field Engineer for Dorr Oliver for whom he traveled the world repairing and installing heavy machinery. He was an active member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Port Orange lodge #4089 where he was a life-time member. John loved fishing boating gardening and bird watching as well as working on his house. His love of life and the joy and laughter he brought to his family and friends will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Hazel Greenhill; one son John Leslie Greenhill of Horta Azores Portugal; daughter Jennifer Greenhill-Taylor and partner Joseph Hayes of Orlando FL four grandchildren Peter Taylor Matthew Comella Josephine Greenhill and Jamie Greenhill and three great grandchildren. John was preceded in death by his parents his first wife Deborah Greenhill his daughter Deborah Ann Comella and his granddaughter Jacqueline Comella.
