Obituary

John William Ferry 70 of Palm Coast unexpectedly passed away April 16 2013. A Funeral Service in his honor will be held Monday April 22 2013 at 10:00am at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona. Burial will immediately follow at Daytona Memorial Park.
John was born in Lexington Massachusetts and lived in New England most of his life. John worked primarily as a machine shop supervisor in the aeronautical industry. However his passion was counseling for Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous. He was a counselor in MA and FL for 28 years. He was equally rewarded by being a caregiver to the elderly.
John was a kind and compassionate man. He would do favors for everyone. John would help friends family and strangers. Even if he had nothing to give he would somehow find a way to help. And he was a humble man not wanting credit or honor for his contributions. John was a faithful member of Mary Queen of Peace in Salem NH and Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Ormond Beach FL.
John and his wife Rosalie moved to Florida 12 years ago for family and the ocean. John's greatest love was his family. His favorite pastime was being with his children grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
John will be sadly missed by his wife of 27 years Rosalie; by his children: Andrea Balestrieri of New Port Richey FL Christina Laos of Lawrenceville GA Jesse Ferry of Port Orange and John F. Ferry of Paris ME; by his step-children: Joel Chiet (deceased) Debra Wilson Georgia and Sheryl Meisel of NH; by his 16 grandchildren and 1 granddaughter Brianna Stevens who John helped raise; and 2 great-grandchildren. He is survived by his brothers Fran Ferry of MA and Billy Ferry of NH and his sister Jeanne McGoon of NH. Arrangements are under the careful direction of Lohman Funeral Home Daytona.
