Obituary

Daytona Beach Florida - John Francis Esau 57 died Sunday Sept. 12 2004 in the Halifax Hospital. John graduated from Hofstra University as a Phi Beta Kappa. He was a retired Captain in the Army who served with the 173rd Airborne Division with 2 1/2 tours in Vietnam. After 25 year''''s service John retired as a Federal Law Enforcement Officer in Criminal Investigations and U.S. Customs. He was internationally recognized as an expert in textile fraud investigations treaty negotiations and the creation of legislation. He was an historian avid reader and political scientist. John was the youngest son of Richard H. Esau Sr. and Marie Dynan Esau. He was preceded in death by his sister Rita. John is survived by his daughter Erin of Buffalo New York; son John Jr. of Cleveland Ohio; brother Richard of Virginia Beach Va. and his wife Naomi; and brother Anthony of Diamond Head Miss. A funeral will be held at the Quantico National Cemetery in Triangle Virginia on Friday Sept. 17 at 11:00 a.m. Lohman Ormond Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
