John C. Donner 89 of Daytona Beach passed away on Sunday October 11th 2009. A visitation will be held on Tuesday October 13th at Cardwell Funeral Home 3571 S. Ridgewood Ave from 6pm until 7:30pm. A Celebration of life will begin at 7:30pm. John was born on February 29th 1920 in Brooklyn New York to John and Meta Donner. John served in the United States Army and spent time in the South Pacific and Iwo Jima he was a Veteran of World War II. John worked for Transit Concrete in Bronx New York for 25 years and for Dunn Brothers Hardware in Daytona Beach Florida for 20 years. He loved cars and collecting them. John was a true family man who loved his wife children grandchildren and great grandchildren dearly. John and his wife Catherine were married 64 wonderful years. Survivors include wife Catherine Donner of Daytona Beach Florida; son Alan Donner (Donna) of Roscoe New York; daughter Carol Youngman (Thomas) of Holly Hill Florida; grandchildren Jason Youngman (Nina) of Palm Coast Florida Paul Donner (Tina) of Jacksonville Florida Amy Youngman of Holly Hill Florida Jeffrey Youngman of Holly Hill Florida; and great grandchildren Jasmine Jordan Katherine Kayla and Brody. John is preceded in death by his parents John and Meta Donner brother Ernie; and sister Margaret.
