Funeral Services for John E. DiMattina age 87 who died peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday May 30 2009 will be held Tuesday June 2 2009 at 10:00 in the chapel of Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast. His family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Monday (today) June 1st also at the funeral home. John was born in Brooklyn NY on August 5 1921 and enlisted after high school in the US Army. He later moved to Richmond VA then retired to Palm Coast seven years ago. He worked while in NY in broadcast repair for the NY Racing Authority and enjoyed his travels to the various horse tracks across the state; his favorite being Saratoga Springs. He was a very loving man and he will be greatly missed by his family who adored him. Memorial Donations may be made to the DAV (Disabled American Vets) 208 S. 6th St. Flagler Beach FL 32136.
