John Thomas Croft 72 of Holly Hill passed away on March 15 2009. A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday March 20 2009 in the chapel of Baggett-Summers Funeral Home 736 S. Beach Street Daytona Beach FL 32114. He was born on July 8 1936 in Berlin Georgia. John was retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Tech Sgt. after 22 years. He came to this area in 1975 from Atlanta. John then worked for Volusia County in operations at the Daytona International Airport from which he retired. He was an avid fisherman. He is preceded in death by his sister Lucile Croft Massa. Survivors include his wife of 52 years Judy Croft of Holly Hill; daughter Sherry Hendrikson of Stafford VA.; adopted daughter Carolyn Olsen of Minneapolis/St. Paul MN; brother Edward Wayne Croft of Gainesville FL and one grandson Carsten. Also numerous nieces and nephews. Arrangements are under the careful direction of Baggett-Summers Funeral Home 736 S. Beach Street Daytona Beach FL 32114.
