Our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle, John Corcella, passed away on Monday, August 8, 2022.  He was born on January 12, 1926 in Barletta, Italy.  He was the handsome son of Giacomo and Maria Filannino Corcella.  John received his education in Italy.  He earned a doctorate degree in psychiatry.   He relocated to the United States in 1952.  He worked as a psychiatrist.  He married the love of his life, Elinor and they created a beautiful life filled with love. He was very passionate about his family.   John was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.

John was preceded in death by his wife, Elinor Corcella, his sister, Phyllis Caputi and his brother, Gemino Corcella.

He is survived by his children, Ellen Corcella, Jenny Luttrell (Tony), Maureen Duda (Joe), Tracy Urian (Tim) and James Corcella (Cathy); grandchildren, Wendy Scharf (John), John Duda, Molly Watson (Corey), Wes Urian, John James Corcella, Kathleen Corcella, Anna Parlet and Lizzy Parlet; and his great-grandchildren, Kayla Scharf, Alexa Scharf, Madden Watson, Brody Watson and his beloved sister, Angela Piecora.

John was a special man and he was loved by so many!  If you were lucky enough to meet him, you knew he truly cared about people.

We will miss you Pop, Dad, Goochie, Grandad, Great-Grandad, Nino, John, Dr. C. Papa John or friend.  He brought light to all and he will forever live in our hearts.
