John Joseph Cattuna,Sr. died peacefully January 5th 2019 in Little River South Carolina. John was a longtime resident of DeLeon Springs Florida along with his wife, of 70 years Ann, who preceded him in death.

John was born to Joseph and Hortense Cattuna in New York on June 18th 1924. He was married to Anita Mendoza for 70 years. Together they had four children Jan (Oberly), Karen (Glass, deceased), John Jr. and Patrick. He had seven grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.

John was a World War II veteran who served in the US Coast Guard, a retired firefighter for the City of Miami, a lifetime member of the Moose and Elk clubs, and a volunteer for many years at the Florida Hospital Deland.

The family will receive friends Thursday, January 17, 2018, from 9:15 AM till 10:00AM at St. Peter's Catholic Church prior to the Mass. Burial will be at Deland Memorial Gardens.
