Jack H. Atwood age 74 of Ormond Beach FL passed away Nov. 12th at Florida Hospital Ormond Memorial. He was born September 11 1930 to William T. and Bertha Mae Galloway Atwood Sr. in Charleston SC. Jack was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War where he was awarded the United Nations medal and the Korean and National Defense Medal. Jack was employed by the City of Charleston until he moved to Ormond Beach in the 1970?s. He was a member of the Charleston Elks Club #242 and the Charleston VFW post. Jack loved to dance and really enjoyed life. He is survived by his niece Linda Busch Marcell and her husband Ron of Florence SC; 3 grand nephews Jack L. Smith Jr. and his wife Niki of Columbia SC Bryant Marcell and Justin Marcell both of Florence SC; and a grand niece Jamie L. Smith of Lebanon SC. Graveside Services with Military Honors will be held at 12:00 Noon on Wed. Nov. 17th at Live Oak Cemetery in Charleston SC. Family will receive friends on Tues. Nov. 16th from 6-8pm at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home in Charleston SC.
