Johanna Kastner 75 of Daytona Beach passed away peacefully in her home on March 4 2011 due to complications from diabetes.
Johanna was born on August 29 1935. A New Jersey native she was a long time resident of the Daytona Beach area.
She married Edward Kastner on September 14 1963 and their marriage spanned 46 years until his death in 2009. Family and Faith were very important to Johanna. She was a devoted wife and a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed being with her family going to Bob Evans with her daughters for breakfast and drinking her afternoon tea.
She is preceded in death by her husband Edward Kastner and parents Theodore and Marion Refinski.
Johanna is survived by her children Judy (Michael) Kelsen Marybeth Kastner Arlene Kastner and Edward Kastner; her grandchildren Hillary Abigail Andrew and Michael; and her sister Eleanor Hanf. She also leaves behind many extended family members and friends.
A visitation will be held for her family and friends on Thursday March 9 2011 at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona from 5pm to 7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday March 11 2011 at Epiphany Catholic Church at 1:30pm. Burial will follow at Edgewater New Smyrna Cemetery.
