Funeral Services for Joel Chiet age 41 who passed away Wed. April 14th at Halifax Medical Center will be Sunday April 18th at 11:00am at Ormond Funeral Home with Rabbi David Kane officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Daytona Memorial Park.

Family and friends may pay their condolences at the home of Rosalie and John Ferry on Sunday and Monday. Times will be announced at the service.

Joel was born in Lynn Mass. and moved to Ormond Beach FL in 2002 from Jupiter FL. He worked as a compassionate pre-need counselor for Daytona Memorial Park and Ormond Funeral Home. His commitment to his profession was contagious. He attended Temple B?Nai Torah and loved to play hockey. He passionately worked for the battle against cancer in our community. A cancer survivor himself Joel chaired the annual American Cancer Society Daytona Beach Chapter-Relay for Life this past month.

He is survived by his parents Rosalie and John Ferry of Ormond Beach FL; Barry and Nora Chiet of Boca Raton FL; his children Amanda of Maryland Hilary and Sammy Chiet of Jupiter FL; his sisters Debra Wilson of Acworth GA and Sheryl Meisel of Salem NH; his uncles and aunts Marty and Beverly Chiet Art and Jane Strasnick Mark Strasnick and fianc Lori and Sheldon & Michelle Strasnick.
