Joe Thomas Hicks, 92 of Ormond Beach, Florida was born on July 3, 1925 in Woodstock, Georgia to Albert and Lillie (Herndon) Hicks and passed on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 just 6 days short of this 93 ^rd birthday.  Outside of working very hard on the family farm, Joe's first job was as a draftsman and Bell Bomber in Marietta, Georgia. When his nation called, Joe volunteered for the U.S. Navy in 1944 serving in the South Pacific Amphibious Corp. He went on to serve at the CDC where he designed infections labs and went on to receive his Engineering Degree. After leaving the CDC he retired to Flagler Beach, Fl. where he became an investor in real estate. Joe is survived by his loving wife Patricia McKenzie.
