Joan Ann Ramik Keirnan 71 died at home on December 11 2005. Mrs. Keirnan was born January 23 1934 in Dickson City PA. It was there that she met her childhood sweetheart and future husband Gene Keirnan. She created loving homes for her family in many places during the course of her life including Syracuse NY Wichita Falls TX Huntsville AL Bristol CT and Palm Coast FL. Her working career included positions with Remington Arms Bristol/Myers and Southern New England Telephone. She was a volunteer for the Girl Scouts of America and Catholic Charities. Joan was a passionate reader enthusiastic traveler animal lover woodcarver and painter.
In addition to her husband Gene Keirnan she is survived by her sister Lucia Vecchi of Sacramento CA three children: Rose Keirnan of Northapmton MA; Michael Keirnan of Melbourne FL; and Mary Lou Keirnan of Jericho VT by four grandchildren: Emily Homrok and Allison Leah and Rachel Keirnan and by many true friends. The memorial service will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church on Friday December 16 2005 at 10:30 a.m.
