A Celebration of Life for Joan W. (Hewett) Benanchietti 74 of Ormond Beach Florida who passed away on Sunday November 4 2007 will be held at 11 a.m. Monday November 12th at Tomoka United Methodist Church 1000 Old Tomoka Rd. Ormond Beach. She is survived by her daughter Dawna Benanchietti and partner Gina Cavalli of Glenolden PA and 2 sisters Nancy Rhodes Fairview NC and Barbara Hames Plainsboro NJ. She is also survived by Maria Crumlich of Deland the daughter of her heart. She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years Omero Ben' Benanchietti and two sons Gerald David Benanchietti and Mark Steven Benanchietti. Joan was born on February 28 1933 in Gloucester MA the daughter of Warren and Virginia Winchester Hewett. After graduating from Gloucester High School Joan received her diploma as a Registered Nurse from Salem Hospital School of Nursing. She had lived in Ormond Beach since 1991. Joan was an avid reader enjoyed crosswords loved travel good food the ocean church and her family and friends. She and her husband were longtime volunteers for Hospice of Volusia/Flagler and The Aids Foundation.
