Joan V. Cuddy 78 passed away March 30 2008 at her home in Ormond Beach. A memorial service will be held 4 p.m. on Thursday April 10 at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond Chapel 733 W. Granada Blvd. Joan was born in Dunkirk New York. Before moving to Florida in 1982 Joan lived in Ithaca New York where she worked for many years at Cornell University's Laboratory of Ornithology. After retiring to Ormond Beach with her husband Joan began a second career as a registered nurse in the Florida home health system where she was much loved for her compassionate manner. Joan was predeceased by her husband J. Neal Cuddy. Survivors include her sister Norma Burnside (Portland NY); children Kevin Cuddy (Spring City Pa) Sheila Parsonson and husband Doug (Melbourne Australia) Jay Cuddy and wife Suzi (Ormond Beach); and grandchildren Courtney Christine Brigid and Adam.
