Obituary

Jo Ann (Reasor) Park, 84, of Port Orange, Florida passed away on Sunday January 2nd, 2022 at Halifax Health Ormond Beach Hospice Care Center.

Jo Ann was born and raised in Big Stone Gap, Virginia until her family moved to Daytona Beach in 1951.  She graduated from Mainland High School in 1955 where she was a varsity cheerleader, Senior Superlative, and a member of Cotillion along with several social and service clubs.  Jo Ann attended Florida State University before returning to Daytona Beach.  She worked for 28 years with her late husband Jim Park, at their popular restaurant, "Park's Seafood" on the Halifax River in Holly Hill.  They sold the restaurant in 2004 and retired.  Jo Ann enjoyed many luncheons with her BFFs before COVID interrupted them.  She delighted in the birth of her great granddaughter and loved sharing photos.

Jo Ann was predeceased by Jim, her husband of 58 years; son, Jeff Park; daughter, Jo Lynn Watkins; and sister in-law Nancy Park Moreland (Charles) North Carolina.

She is survived by her beloved and devoted grandsons Chase Watkins (wife Miranda & daughter Harbor Rose) of Vero Beach, Florida and Conner Watkins of Jacksonville, Florida; son, J.H. Park, III of Daytona Beach; sisters, Helen Kilbourne of Chester, VA and Sue Dent (Joe) of The Villages, Florida; and sister in-law Carolyn Park Peacock (James) of Atlanta, Georgia.
