Jirawadee Marie Battenhouse, beloved daughterof Supawadee Soinak and the late Jerry Battenhouse, and sister of Teptida Caroline Battenhouse, passed away on May 27, at 6:57AM, after succumbing to injuries as a result of an automobile accident.
She was born on November 18, 1997, in Bangkok, Thailand. She spent her life traveling, living with her family
in Thailand, the Bahamas, and finally settling in Flagler Beach, Florida, completing her high school diploma at Matanzas High School.
She will be remembered most for her gift for photography, videography, music talents, and art curating skills. Jirawadee, known as "J" or "Marie" amongst those close to her, inspired everyone around her with her confidence, charisma, and work ethic concerning her art. Her work was chosen to be featured at the
prestigious Art Basel Festival in Miami in 2016, and her local Public Service Announcement film denouncing texting and driving won her a first place award with her TV production group from Kinder Vision. She will
live forever through her art. We lost one of Florida's most promising artists, but gained a goddess. Rest easy.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church, Flagler Beach at 2:00pm, with Father Al Esposito as Celebrant. Visitation will be held at Santa Maria del Mar prior to the Mass from 12:00pm until 2:00pm.
