A Funeral Service for Jerry James Loukota who passed away peacefully at home In Big Coppitt (Key West) FL on October 20 2009 will be held at 2:00pm Friday October 30 2009 at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond 733 W. Granada Blvd. Ormond Beach FL with entombment to follow at Volusia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00pm on Friday prior to the service. Jerry was born in Dillonvale Ohio to Joseph and Rose Loukota on March 14 1919. Jerry moved to Miami FL in 1946 and then he graduated for Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in 1949. In 1952 he married his beloved wife Margaret Elizabeth Simpson. Before his retirement Jerry was a partner in Power Brake Exchange of Miami. He was a veteran of World War II and served in the Marines. Margaret and Jerry were world travelers prior to her death in 1984 and they enjoyed many trips across the United States and the World. They were avid sports enthusiasts and centurion club members for the University of Miami Hurricanes. Jerry was preceded in death by his sister Mary Secura and survivors include his sister Bessie Polcar and his brother Joe Loukota of Ohio along with many nieces and nephews and friends who referred to him as Uncle Jerry.
