Jerry F. Battiste

March 21, 1938 - August 14, 2021

Jerry F. Battiste, 83, was born on March 21, 1938 to Marco and Constance Battiste in Trenton, New Jersey.  He entered into rest on August 14, 2021 in Orlando, Florida.  Jerry was residing in South Daytona, Florida.  Jerry graduated from Trenton Central High School in 1956.

Jerry went on to proudly serve his country proudly in the United States Army and the United States Marine Corps.  He enlisted on October 27, 1956 and Retired from the Army in 1991 as Major, having dedicated 35 years of service.  He enjoyed Big Band music and music by Frank Sinatra and Bobby Darin.  He was also a musician himself.

Jerry met his second wife, Sandra, in 1989 and they married in 1995.  Jerry is preceded in death by his siblings, Joe (Sonya) Battiste and Nancy (Frank) Piccolella.  Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Kay Battiste; three children, Jerriann Zucker, Jeanette (Lee) Heaton, and Jerry M. Battiste II; two step-children, Michelle Sampson, Wayne (Stacy) Sampson; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.  Jerry will be loved and missed forever.

A graveside inurnment will be held for Jerry on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 12:30pm at Daytona Memorial Park, 1425 Bellevue Avenue, Daytona Beach, Florida.  The family will be having a gathering after the service; location to be announced at the service.
