Jerry Abernathy, 81, passed away on September 5, 2018 after a brief illness. He is survived by his Wife of 61 years Ada Abernathy, two Daughters Cheri Lombard, Husband Dan Lombard, and Jennifer Cote, Husband Jason Cote.  He had 3 Grandchildren, Matthew, Alex, and Brittany, 3 Great Grandchildren, a Brother Dr. Ted Abernathy of Richmond, VA and several Nieces and Nephews.

He graduated from Rice University, proudly served in the United States Army for 2 years, and then worked for Continental Oil Company for 6 years. Most of his career was with Coty Cosmetics starting as a Salesman in Texas and ending as President, working in Manhattan.

After a 34 year career he retired to Palm Coast Florida and built a home at Hammock Dunes.

Jerry was a Pilot who loved to fly, owning two single engine airplanes. He played Tennis, Golf, and Bridge.

He was a wonderful Man, Husband, Father and Friend to many.  He will be dearly missed!
