Jerome "Jerry" Alfred MacKenzie 82 of Palm Coast passed away on May 2 2012. Visitation will be held on Monday May 7 2012 from 3pm until the Funeral Service at 4 pm at the Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast 220 Palm Coast Pkwy SW PC FL. Jerry was born and raised in Detroit Michigan. He began his career as an insurance claims adjuster with the Travelers Insurance Company in the early 50's he moved on to run the Illinois-Iowa Claim Service Burlington Iowa then returned to Michigan where he ran his own agency. After retiring from insurance Jerry made and sold fudge for his grandfather's Company Murdick's Famous Fudge running the Dearborn and Utica locations. Jerry served in the United States Army as an Intelligence Analyst earning the National Defense Service Metal. He enjoyed history politics reading and listening to audio books. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents Arletta and Joseph MacKenzie and his wife Bonny Lou Harris. He is survived by his son Jeffrey of Texas daughter Kathleen of California sisters Coral Kulpa of Florida Diane Jung of Michigan and Edith Pettit of Michigan and grand-daughter Mikaela Hope.
