Jerome Goldman died Wednesday September 22 2004 at the Port Orange Hospice Care Center. Jerry moved to the Daytona Beach area in 1951 from St. Louis Missouri. He was the owner of Seabreeze Antique Shop Seabreeze Blvd. for 34 years. Jerry was born in St. Louis on July 29 1920. He was a graduate of St. Louis Country Day School and attended the University of Illinois where he was a member of Phi Epsilon Pi fraternity. He volunteered for the Army in World War II and served three years in the European-African-MiddleEastern Theater. He was a life member of the Jerome L. Goldman American Legion Post St. Louis MO named for his uncle who died in World War I and also a member of the V.F.W. Jerry was a man of many interests. He was equally at home at he opera or watching three sports at a time on television. He was an authority on oriental rugs clocks and other antiquities. He was a member of the American and British Royal Numismatic Societies. Jerry first visited Scotland at age 16 and he and his wife Jean visited there four times after his retirement. He presented the West Highland Museum in Fort William with his old Scottish coins to enhance their collection.

He belonged to the NRA NAWCC Ormond Memorial Art Museum and Gardens Halifax Historical Society and the Museum of Arts and Sciences. Survivors include his wife of 35 years Jean his stepchildren Edwina Schroder and husband Aage of Gainesville and Betty Costigan of Jacksonville his grandchildren Brooke Schroder and Caitlin Costigan and one great grandchild Kaden Fisher. He also had a stepsister Doris Schneider and cousins Geraldine Silberman and Celia Jo Agatstien all of St. Louis.

A memorial service will be held at Lohman Ormond Funeral Home 733 W. Granada Blvd. Ormond Beach on Wednesday September 29th at 4:00pm followed by a reception at the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Dr. Kim and Marsha Klancke Environmental Learning Center at the Museum of Arts and Sciences at 1040 Museum Blvd. Daytona Beach FL 32144.
