Obituary

Jeffrey Lee Wiles , a retired Senior Deputy with the Volusia Sheriff's Office, passed away peacefully with his family and friends by his side on September 24, 2022.

Born in Birmingham, Alabama in 1964, Jeff proudly served his Country in the United States Marine Corps and then served his community as a dedicated Law Enforcement Officer for over 30 years. Jeff had a well decorated career with assignments on Motors, Narcotics Unit and the Training section. He additionally served on SWAT for 23 years. He trained countless Law Enforcement Officers throughout Central Florida and the Volusia County School Guardians in high liability areas including firearms, defensive tactics and emergency vehicle operations.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Donald Wiles, his mother, Hazel Wiles, and his brothers', Kenny Wiles and Wayne Wiles.

He is survived by his wife, Sabrina, sons, Connor & Carson, daughter, Alexis, son-in-law, Chris, step-grandson, Luke (who loved to call him "Papa Jeff") and his sister, Gail.

Jeff loved spending time with his family and friends, watching Alabama Crimson Tide football, hunting and boating.

A celebration of life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 9th, 2022 at Volusia County Fairgrounds, 3150 East New York Avenue, in Deland, Florida. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family for Connor and Carson's college fund are greatly appreciated.
