Funeral Services for Jeffrey D. Downing age 42 of Ormond Beach who died Sunday September 18 2005 will be Saturday October 22 2005 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Lohman Funeral Home Ormond with Rev. Joe Putting as the officiant. His family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday October 22 2005 in the chapel of Lohman Funeral Home Ormond. Jeff was born January 29 1963 in Laconia NH to Leslie and Sylvia Hammel Downing. He moved to Ormond Beach from McLean VA. Jeff was a Captain in the U.S. Marine Corps where he served two wartime deployments to Africa and the Middle East. Jeff loved serving his country. He was a graduate of the University of New Hampshire in 1985 where he received a Bachelors degree in Business and Finance. He was the Regional Sales Manager of Bay Capitol Corporation and was a business partner for over six years in Wise Investments in Ormond Beach. He belonged to many Associations NAMB FAMB Volusia County Home Builders National Republican Congressional Committee on the Business Advisory Council American Legion Post #33 of Meredith NH and many more. Jeff?s joy was spending time with family and friends as well as golf bowling softball and going to the gym. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Kim three stepsons Billy Freddy and Charlie of five years his daughter Alexandra of Lakeland his parents Les and Sylvia Downing of Daytona Beach brother Randy and his wife Terry of PA a sister Bobette and her husband Del of NH nieces and nephews and his precious dog Paris.
