Jeffery John Hayes 52 of Daytona Beach passed away on Tuesday July 26th 2011 after his brave battle with cancer.
A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday August 3rd 2011 at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona 1423 Bellevue Ave. Daytona Beach FL 32114 from 5pm until 6pm. The "Celebration of Life" will begin at 6pm in the Chapel with a reception to follow in the funeral home.
Jeff was born on March 14th 1959 in Hershey Pennsylvania to Brooke Robertson and the late Ralph Hayes.
Jeff was an Alumni of Elizabethtown Area High School in Pennsylvania. Following high school Jeff enlisted in the United States Coast Guard. He served our country proudly retiring after 24 years and 8months of faithful service.
Jeff was a true man's man who enjoyed spending time outdoors sailing rock climbing and hiking. His passion was to ride his beloved motorcycle Sadie.
Jeff was known as "Mr. Avenues 12". Without his support Avenues 12 would not be the successful nonprofit that it is today.
He is preceded in death by his father Ralph H. Hayes.
Jeff will be deeply missed by his beloved wife Kay Hayes mother Brooke Robertson siblings Herbert and wife Maria Hayes Gregory Hayes all of Elizabethtown PA and sister Evan Hayes and step-mother Gail Hayes of Fargo ND. many extended family members and close friends.
