Obituary

Mrs. Jeanne Frazier Morris , 83, of Ormond Beach passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at Halifax Hospital, Daytona Beach, Florida. She was born on March 23, 1938, in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late William and Helen Frazier. She attended the University of Central Florida, where she graduated cum laude and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies. She was happily married for forty-nine years to Dr. John William Morris, III, who predeceased her on April 9, 2014. Jeanne's family moved to Atlanta in 1960, where she worked in the Radiology Department of Emory University Medical School. She also enjoyed her career as a flight attendant for TWA. She and John were married in Atlanta on August 15,1964, then relocated to Ormond Beach, where they raised their family. Jeanne was an active volunteer in civic and cultural organizations in the local community. She was a member of Halifax Health Auxiliary, The Garden Club of the Halifax Country, Junior League of Daytona Beach, Halifax River Yacht Club, and Ormond Beach Presbyterian Church. She was also a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Jeanne enjoyed traveling with her family and spent many memorable summers and special moments in the mountains of western North Carolina. Jeanne was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who will be especially missed by her family and many close friends. Jeanne is survived by her devoted brother, William Joseph "Joe" Frazier, Atlanta, GA; her loving children, Allison Leigh Morris (James) Zacharias, Deland, FL; Kimberly Littell Morris, Durango, CO; Meredith Carleton Morris, Atlanta, GA; Matthew "Matt" (Patricia) Morris, Ormond Beach, FL; her grandchildren, Joshua Morris, Elizabeth Morris, Van Westcott, Jens Westcott, Quinn Zacharias, and Zoey Zacharias; and her nephews, Scott Frazier (Merrill) and David Frazier (Cheryl).

Family and friends will hold a "Celebration of Life" service on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Ormond Beach Presbyterian Church, 105 Amsden Road, Ormond Beach, Florida. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the Halifax Humane Society and/or Ormond Beach Presbyterian Church.  Arrangements are under the careful direction of Lohman Funeral Home Ormond.
