Jean M. Ponkonin 85 of Ormond Beach passed away on September 15 2010.
Jean was born on July 19 1925 in Chicago Illinois to George and Mary (Hruby) Behensky. She was a secretary at Vaughn's Seed Company in Downers Grove IL. She was the type of person that never met a stranger she always had a kind word to say about everyone. Jean loved animals arts and crafts sewing and attending dinner theater. She is survived by her daughter; Mary L. Meyers of New Iberia Louisiana grandson Tim Ponkonin and his wife Jamie great-grandchildren Talia Drew and Mike and a great-granddaughter Jordynn as well as very dear friends of 23 years Marcy Ostrowsky and Sally Mayo. Jean was preceded in death by her parents her husband of 50 years Earl Ponkonin Sr. in 1992 by two sons Frank Sr. and Earl Jr. in 1971 by a granddaughter Mary Marie McCracken and a grandson Frank Jr.
