Jean Marie (Craven) O'Connell, formerly of Mt. Cobb, Pa., passed away in Holly Hill, Florida on February 6, 2014 after a long illness. The youngest of nine children she was the daughter of the late Augustus and Mary (Mecke) Wittenbreder.
She was a graduate from Jefferson Township School and went on to retire as a teacher's aide at Jefferson Township Elementary School.
Jean's priority was always her family, she loved devoting her life to her sons and took a
special joy in her two granddaughters, Brooke and Carley Craven. She enjoyed caring for her flowers and shrubs in her yard and cherished the friendship with neighbors and friends, especially Mary Lou "Sis" Brundage who she grew up with and was very close to.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Carl Craven, by her two sons, Kenneth and Bradley Craven and by four brothers and four sisters. She is survived by her husband, Edward O'Connell, her daughter-in-law, Marcia Learn, her two granddaughters Brook and Carley Craven, and by several nieces and nephews.
Services and inurnment will be held at a later date in Mt. Cobb, Pa., once the weather is better, she will be laid to rest with her sons.
