Jean C. Luce was born in Maryville Tennessee on July 23 1915. Jean died peacefully at Coquina Center in Ormond Beach on October 27 2010 and was surrounded by her family at the time of her death. Jean was preceded in death by her husband John H. Luce. She is survived by her son John H. Luce Jr. and his wife Maryann Port Orange her daughter Carolyn Smith and her husband Gordon Smith Ocala her granddaughter Leslie Chalfont and her husband Frank Chalfont New Smyrna Beach her two great grandchildren Lauren and Bailey and her brother William T. Cooper St Petersburg. Jean and her husband John went to school together at St. Petersburg High School and were married October 26 1935.
