Jean Anne Skinner Harvey 85 beloved wife of Edward James Harvey passed away February 22nd at her home in Daytona Beach with family by her side . The daughter of James and Veronica Lally Skinner of Yonkers NY Jean is survived by her loving husband Edward to whom she was married for 65 years; 3 children 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Her children are Carol Anne Johnson Harmon and husband Peter of Salt Lake City UT; Edward J. Harvey Jr. and wife Debbie of Woodstown NJ; Janis Harvey Yuskaitis and husband Richard of Dover NH. Her grandchildren are Erik Johnson Charles Johnson Adrienne Harvey Riddle Brian Harvey Samantha Snyder Max Harvey Aaron Straub Samuel Straub and Christopher Yuskaitis.
A remarkable and strong woman Jean was a 1969 graduate of Barnard College in New York City returning to school as an adult and earning a Bachelor of Arts degree. She managed the finances for the various companies and family businesses over the years sang in Church choirs most recently at the United Presbyterian Church. She and her husband Ed were enthusiastic cruisers and traveled the world many times over. Jean was an avid bridge player and a dedicated member of her Bible Study group. A fun loving person with a wonderful sense of humor Jean was an intelligent kind thoughtful and generous woman.
Funeral Services will be held at 9:00AM on March 9th at the United Presbyterian Church 730 Beville Road Daytona Beach. Friends are encouraged to join her family in a celebration of her life. Arrangements are under the careful direction of Baggett and Summers Funeral Home.
