The family of Jean Franchini 84 of Ormond By the Sea who passed away on Monday July 17 2006 will be receiving friends at the Lohman Funeral Home Ormond 733 W. Granada Blvd. Ormond Beach on Friday July 21 2006 from 2-4 and from 6-8 pm. Jean was born in on May 8 1922 in New York City. A graduate of Queens College with a Bachelors degree in Nursing she moved to this area in 1976 from NYC. Jean retired from the Red Cross in Daytona Beach as a Registered Nurse and Phlebotomist. She enjoyed her family her bridge games with her Thursday Group as well as the Good Timers of the Ormond Senior Center. She was well traveled. She and her late husband Tullio spent time in Europe South America Australia and traveled extensively in the US. She loved her cats and loved looking at the ocean. Her favorite spot was the Fortunato Park under the Ormond Bridge on Granada. Survivors include her son and daughter in law Paul and Bea Franchini of Palm Coast her daughter Roxanne Franchini of Ormond Beach and Phillidelphia. Her grandson Mitchell and his wife Beth of Atlanta granddaughter Jessica Franchini of Columbia SC and her great-granddaughter Emma of Atlanta.
