Jean C. Abee 79 passed away on July 11 2010 at Florida Memorial Hospital Daytona Beach Florida. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Friday July 16 2010 at 11:00 am at Prince of Peace Catholic Church 600 S. Nova Road Ormond Beach Florida. Jean was born on March 22 1931 in Rochester New York to John and Regina (Fingerhuth) Christman. Raised in Rochester she relocated to Asheville North Carolina and then settled in Ormond Beach in 2000. She was an owner/operator of several motels a bank teller and homemaker. She was a parishioner at Prince of Peace Catholic Church where she served on the Bereavement Committee and sang in the choir. She was a member of the Ormond Beach Red Hat Society enjoyed gardening crafts and was devoted to her faith family and friends. Jean is survived by her husband of 58 years Lloyd R. Abee Ormond Beach son John Abee Gastonia NC daughters Tricia (Bill) Sauers Rochester NY Linda Abee Rochester NY and Mary (Bob) Morrow Winston-Salem NC by two sisters Marie Green and Betty (Joe) Schwab both of Rochester NY five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother Frank Christman sisters Helen Christman and Margaret Blair and her beloved friend "Joy". In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association at 1701 N.
