Janice Matheny Wazelle Kiner passed away August 30, 2015 at the Halifax Hospice Center in Port Orange, Florida.

Janice was born in Charleston, WV, on September 6, 1933 and retired from Columbia Gas Corp. She will be forever remembered as the epitome of grace, poise and elegance. Her life-long service to her friends and family to make sure everyone and everything was thought of and taken care of; set the bar for those that knew her. Janice's sincere and genuine generosity was unparalleled, her warmth and care of others is unsurpassed.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents, William and Olive Matheny; infant sons, Jeffrey and Joseph; second husband, Clarke Kiner; first husband, Jules R Wazelle Jr.; and brothers, William Jr. and Thomas Matheny. She is survived by son Jay Wazelle; grandsons Jeffrey & Charles Wazelle and families, including granddaughters Khaleesi Wazelle and Zoey Wazelle expected November 2015; sister MariAnne Samples and family; brothers Larry, Charles, Dennis and Richard Matheny and families; step-sons Clarke, Charles and Craig Kiner and families, including step-grandchildren Sierra, Jamison, Hadrian and Carlotta Kiner.

A 1 p.m. visitation will precede a 2 p.m. service on Thursday, Sept. 3, at Lohman Funeral Home Port Orange, 1201 Dunlawton Ave. Flowers accepted. Donations may be made to Halifax Hospice Care Center, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129. Digital condolences to jaywazelle@gmail.com
