Janice Faye Grubic of Ormond Beach Fla. husband of Roger and mother to Brock Eppinger of Upper Marlboro Md.; James Grubic of Eugene Or.; Royce Grubic of Silver City N.M.; and Adrianne Grubic of Atlanta Ga.; passed away on April 5th after a long illness.
She was born on February 26 1939 in South River N.J in simple surroundings and dedicated herself to her husband and raising her family. She was an ardent believer in education and the rights of women. She went back to school and completed a B.A. in History from the University of Maryland (class of 1982) while still raising her children. Over the years she developed lasting friendships with people from Ohio New Jersey Alabama Maryland California and Florida who were treated like family.
Janice the love of my life and our dear mother and friend was a strong and generous spirit with an incomparably quick mind who was without equal in her love of books reading dogs and worthwhile charities. She was a master at Jeopardy questions and newspaper puzzles. Our family is asking that in lieu of flowers donations be made in her name to children support groups schools libraries or wounded veterans organizations.
She was preceded in the culmination of life's journey by her parents Fred and Dorothy Schmider; she is survived by her husband and children her sisters-in-law Carole Roggensack and Linda Carroll nephew nieces and great nieces plus her friends in many states who will miss her greatly.
