Obituary

On Friday February 6th 2009 Janice Ferritto found peace and was presented to the Lord. Janice was born in Niagara Falls NY on October 24th 1933 to Homer & Dorothy Culp. She was married to her loving and devoted husband Sully Ferritto for 57 years. On Wednesday February 11th her family will receive friends at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond Chapel from 4 to 6 PM with a short service immediately following the visitation.Janice was devoted wife wonderful mother grandmother and great grandmother. Janice loved her family employees community and country with all her heart. Janice's life was filled with blessings. She loved her career especially her early days working at Associated Coca Cola later she began a retail career as a buyer for Belks however her life was fulfilled when she & Sully opened and operated Bayshore Electric. Janice was Vice President for Bayshore and was responsible for building the company in to one of Volusia counties leading electrical contractors. Janice loved the business however she enjoyed mentoring and caring for all her employees. Janice's later years were diminished by the terrible disease of Alzheimer's however prior to the on set of the disease Janice lived each and every moment cherishing her family and friends; dining; traveling; the Miami Dolphins; and loved to talk about her country and politics.Mom will be missed however we know she is at perfect peace and with God. The Peace of the Lord.She is survived by her husband Sully Ferritto of Port Orange FL; daughter & son-in-law Catherine (Charles) Mayhugh of Fort Myers FL; son & daughter-in-law Rick (Shari) Ferritto of Ormond Beach FL; sister & brother-in-law Judy (John) Costanzo of Niagara Falls NY; 5 loving grandchildren Jessica Addington of Panama City FL Chase Mayhugh of Fort Myers FL Matthew Chris & Catie Ferritto of Ormond Beach FL; 2 great grandchildren Charlotte Mayhugh & Matthew Addington both of Panama City FL.
Janice is preceded in death by her parents Homer Culp & Dorothy (Nellis) Culp; 2 nephews Mark & Todd Costanzo.In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to the Hospice of Volusia/Flagler 3800 Woodbriar Trail Port Orange FL 32127.
