Janet Gorris 95 of Port Orange formerly of Trenton Michigan passed away peacefully into the arms of Our Lord at her home on August 14; 2009.Janet was born in Detroit Michigan on March 29 1914. She was married to Nestor "Ray" (Raymond) Gorris who preceded her in death in 1985.She will be sadly missed by her daughter Sandra Carey(Edward) of Trenton Michigan and Susan Acs(James) of South Rockwood Michigan Eight grandchildren 15 great grandchildren. and two great great grandchildren. Janet and Ray retired to New Smyrna Beach before moving to Port Orange in 1980.She was a spirited independent person who loved to garden and care for her beloved pets. Janet "Granny" had a great pride and love for all her grandchildren and cherished the times she spent with them and their loving families. Janet was admired by her close friends and neighbors for her endless energy and determination for life. Funeral services will be held on Thursday August 20th 2009 at John Molnar Funeral Home in Brownstown Michigan. Janet will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband at Our Lady of Hope Cemetery.
